| Dear All,
I would like to share something with
you for my dearest sister Joanna Tse 謝婉雯姊妹. It is very
touching. I hope everyone can love her more and pray
for her more after reading the following story about
her.
When I got in touch with Joanna from
the very beginning, she was a doctor and worked at Tuen
Mun Hostpital. I knew that she was Carmen Law and Daniel
Wai's classmates when they were in the Secondary School.
Carmen, Helena and Elinda preached the Gospel to her
and lead her to believe Jesus, she has become a Christian
around 1995/96 in Church of God, HK. However, Carmen,
Helena and Elinda went to overseas for missions, and
they told me to keep in touch with her. Then, I always
contact her and we have built up a good friendship.
From all my memories for my dearest friend
- I think she is walking her life not in easier way,
it should say "harder". She studied Medicial
in Chinese Univeristy for five years. Later, she became
a Medical Officer. Being a doctor, she was always busy
for presentation, reading and examination when she began
at her job. She seldom took a REST because of too busy.
When she was up to a steady stage at
her job, she felt in love with Albert Chan who was also
a doctor, he believed in Jesus. I always encouraged
her to be baptized that I thought was a right time.
However, Albert got blood cancer. As when she told me
and Edith, she broke in tears for him. Then, we always
pray for Albert and ask Jesus to heal him. Later, Albert
got recovery and he was baptized very soon, Joanna followed
later in summer. I joined her baptism ceremony in her
Church.
Then, they got married at the same year
in 2000 in winter (Dec). Sooner, she flew to UK for
training courses in early Spring 2001 for half year.
They really seldom lived together after they got married.
However, her husband 's situation turned worse for his
Blood Cancer when she heard his news in UK. After having
finished her training courses in UK, she was back to
HK to see her husband. Then, until end of May 2002,
her husband died.
After mourning, but she seldom took a
REST, she was busy again in presentation and examination.
She was succeed in the examinations, then she was up-graded
at her job and to be in a professionally manner to handle
the cases of Chest and Lungs (She works in Respiratory
Unit) at Tuen Mun Hospital. When HK have spread out
SARS, she took in charge of SARS cases at Tuen Mun Hospital.
Unfortunately, she was infected when she helped the
patients.
She was discharged to hospital on 3 April,
2003, up to present, it passed more than one month,
her situtation is turning worst and becomes seriously,
she takes a REST on bed but slept at Hospital.
I appreciate How brave she is and is
strong in faith that she has not given up until now,
she puts her every efforts to fight against the virus
- SARS, she is still alive but is not easier, her situation
is deteriorating from times to times.
However, Thank you Jesus that we have
become sisters and friends, I can share my life with
her that sometimes we talked, we prayed, we laughed,
we cried. As remembering that when her husband got blood
cancer, we always prayed together, after her husband
died, I comforted her for days. And also we enjoyed
a delicious dinner with Elinda, Pui Yee when she was
calm down after her husband's death. We also had a bible
study with Sau Yee and Lai Ha at her home. We enjoyed
talking more about Jesus on His wonderful works. Besides
these, she also thirsts for the other bible study at
Yan Fook
Church.
When my mother got cancer, she came to
see my mother and I always consulted with her for my
mother's situation. When I got news that my mother would
not last longer, conversely, she greatly comforted me.
We always talked more about our life, everthing is at
God's hand.
I also remember Joanna saying that "God
put I stay at earth, that HE has will and there is something
for me to do for him." I think does it become reality
on her that she healed the patients who was infected
with SARS, then she was also infected for that condition.
She gives out her body for sake of healing the patients.
I have some bible words to share with
all of you:
1. About the book of Jonah 約拿書
God changed his mind not to bring a disaster upon Nineveh
City after they turned from their evil way. That is
His pity.
2. Job 38:10 約伯記
"When I fixed My limit for it, And set bars and
doors; When I said, This far you may come, but no farther,
And here your pround waves must stop."
3. Proverbs 8:29 箴言
When He assigned to the sea its limit, So that the waters
would not transgress His command, When He marked out
the foundations of the earth.
What I am learning that God is able to
do everything. He is faithful and just, but is full
of love and grace.
May God heal her completely and thoroughly
for the sake of her mother, father, brother and his
family and ours, and everyone who loves her.
I think that Joanna is still never giving
up, we are also never giving up our prayers for her
and her family.
